UPDATED COVID MASKING AND VACCINATION POLICY
Dear Parents and Youth,
In regards to youth ministry programs, we will be mask-optional. You will continue to see youth staff wearing masks to support families that wish to continue masking. We always want to do what is best for youth and their families and we are committed to continue to do the following:
-
Notify all close contacts if there is an exposure at a church-sponsored event where your child is present.
-
Require students and volunteers to stay home if they have any symptoms of COVID-19 or if they have tested positive.
-
Recommend masking for 5 days following a COVID exposure.
-
Require a person to remain at home for 5 days and then mask for 5 days if they return to a church-sponsored youth event following a COVID infection.
-
Encourage vaccinations and boosters for eligible youth and volunteers.
-
Support youth and volunteers who choose to wear a mask.
-
For the April retreat, vaccinations are recommended, masks are optional, and a negative COVID test 3 days prior is required. We will email the retreat participants with more information this week.
-
For mission trips, we are communicating with our mission partners and there is no new information or changes at this time. We will be in touch with each mission team over the next few weeks.
Thank you for your continued patience, grace, and understanding as we have navigated this season that we have never encountered before. We will keep you up to date in this very fluid time.
Blessing and peace,
The Youth Staff
